Here’s a step-by-step guide that will help you sync iPhone contacts with outlook.
First of all, you must make sure that you have set outlook as default program.
- Open Outlook
- Click “Tools” » “Options” and click on”others”
- Check the box “Set Outlook as default program for messaging, contacts and calendars.” Click on “OK”
You can also do it like this:
- Open start menu, Click on “Set Program Access and Defaults”
- Select “Custom”
- Choose “Microsoft Outlook” and click “OK”.
Once you are set with the configuration, open iTunes, proceed with the following:
- Click on the iPhone icon in the left column
- In the right tab, select the “Info”
- Then, select the contacts list to synchronize

I think you can sync iPhone Contacts with Outlook without any problem now.

hey this is a very interesting article!
where do i go and check to see if the contacts have been successfully synced into outlook?!
You can definately use this article to sync from iphone to outlook. It’s working perfectly for me. When you select “Sync contact with Outlook”, then you click on apply on the bottom right of the screen. There will be a pop up that makes a distinction between “merge contacts” which puts every contact from your iphone into outlook AND puts all your outlook contacts into your iphone so that they match. The other option, I forgot what it was called simply duplicated outlook onto your iphone. This was 100% helpful. Thank you very much!
When I sync iphone and Outlook comments, the “notes” section does not sync and in fact, erases valuable information on the Outlook Contacts and leaves only the first bit of information. What to do?
What contact fields synch from Outlook to an iPhone please? Thanks!
